On 20 March 2023, eight schools in the districts of Kuala Nerus and Setiu received RM8,000 in funds raised from INSTEP staff that had been turned into all kinds of school supplies over the course of a two-month donation drive. The schools involved are SK Pagar Besi, SK Batu Rakit, SK Darat Batu Rakit, SK Maras, SK Pechah Rotan, SK Bukit Wan, SK Lembah Bidong, and SK Merang.

The materials ranged from sporting goods like shirts, tracksuits, footballs, and basketballs to instructional aids like LCD projectors, printers, laminating machines, and whiteboards. Reading materials encompassing a wide range of Science, English, and Islamic Studies themes were also included in an effort to foster a reading culture in young children.

“This effort served as a testament to our commitment in enriching the surrounding community by providing support to schools and its students to have a wholesome and more conducive learning experience,” commented En. Idris Ibrahim.

“The donation also acted as motivation and inspiration for the students to have a balanced education journey between academic and co-curriculum,” he added.
